SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR MUHLENBERG TOWNSHIP
BEGINNING January 24, 2026 AT 8 PM
The Township has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY effective Saturday, January 24, at 8:00 p.m. and continuing until further notice. We will issue an update when the emergency has been lifted.
Residents living along a posted Snow Emergency Route (see listing below) are required to relocate their vehicles from the street to ensure accessibility for emergency service vehicles and plows. Vehicles remaining on a posted snow emergency route are subject to traffic citations and towing.
Note on Cleanup Operations:
During large snow events, additional snow cleanup will continue to occur after plowing operations have concluded. Crews often need to return to clear corners and intersections where space for snow storage is limited. Please exercise caution near these areas.
Public parking for affected residents is available at the following locations:
- Walmart: Lower lot closest to 5th St. Hwy.
- 401 Darby Avenue: The former Muhlenberg Swimming Association property.
- Nova Adventure Park: The North parking lot along the side of the building.
- The Restaurant Store (former Kmart): The bottom of the main lot closest to 5th Street Highway.
