WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

MTA met all water quality regulations in this sample.
MTA also was in compliance with all Federal and State water quality requirements.

DEFINITIONS:

Primary MCL - Maximum contaminant level, the required regulatory limit above which health problems may occur.

MCL Goal - the level to which water systems should strive to meet for regulatory parameters.  NOT enforcable.

Secondary MCL - the recommended level for parameters which may create poor taste or appearance but not health issues.

AL - Action level, a target level which may trigger treatment changes.

SG - suggested goal, non-enforcable goal.

ND - Not detected in this sample.

MEASURING UNITS:
ug/l - micrograms per liter or parts per billion
mg/l - milligrams per liter or parts per million
NTU - Turbidity units
PT/Co - Color units
TON - Threshold odor number
su - Standard ph units
LI - Langelier Index, a measure of corrosivity
