Do you know where your
"Master Valve" is located?

Do you know where the "Master Valve" is located in your home? Does everyone else in your family know where it is?

If there's an emergency, you'll need to know the location of your "Master Valve" in a hurry. You can't afford to waste precious time searching for it while your basement is flooding and your belongings are being drenched. You've got to be able to act fast.

These are a few of the most likely places to look:
    - Where the water supply enters the home
    - If your meter is in the home, locate the meter and look for a valve there
    - If your meter is outside, look along the front wall of your home

Every home, apartment and business should have a "Master Valve". Be sure the valve
you find is the right one. Try turning it off briefly and see if all the faucets in the building are off.

Once you've found the right valve, mark it with a tag, ribbon or paint the handle with a
bright paint. Make it easy to see! If the worst should happen, and we never hope it does, you'll
feel better knowing that you're prepared to deal with it.
